"Putting the Standards Into Practice...And Not Stopping There"

Please join us as we welcome Michelle DeVries MPH, CIC, VA-BC back to GOVAN for another exciting and informative presentation. 

Every five years, the Infusion Nurses Society has committed to releasing the Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice.  This presentation will highlight a few key evidence-based standards for the profession.  While the science of infusion therapy is rapidly evolving, unresolved issues or gaps in practice persist.  Quality Improvement projects of both small and large scale have the ability to improve practice locally.  In addition, when published, they can influence these best practice guidelines.  A quality improvement project, including review of 18-months of audit data will be discussed.
